***Freeman 144, being a facsimile of Freeman 11 (Ferguson 2739), the second issue of Darwin's journal, the first as a stand-alone work, it having been published earlier in the same year as Volume III - 'Journal and Remarks', of the three-volume 'Narrative of the Surveying Voyages of His Majesty's Ships Adventure and Beagle'. This facsimile did not reproduce the two folding maps belonging to this volume but does include sixteen plates derived from other volumes in the original three-volume publication of the 'Voyages'. #66368
